Seven Lakes

Seven Lakes is a beautiful neighborhood area, built out of Fred7 Lakes water Tower "Ball on Tee" Lawrence's vision in the late 1970's, to have a self contained community of lakes, amenities and a park like setting. There's no shortage of activities, things to do, or community "neighbor" spirit. Seven Lakes is not your typical "small town" community, but most everyone does know everyone else. Most of the community gathering spots have been here from it's inception in the 80's, so the family and friendly neighbor attitude is a tradition here.

Chapel in the Pines by 7 Lakes SouthThere are 3 gated communities, 7 lakes, a community chapel, two clubs, fitness centers, marina's, 2 golf courses, horse stables, etc. Seven Lakes also has a business section, with all the supporting businesses that you could need to live the relaxed "seven lakes" lifestyle. The community even has it's own newspaper, The 7 Lakes Times, that reports all of the local news and the happenings around the area.

Seven Lakes North was the first area developed by the investors, in the lateLake Sequoia at 7 Lakes North 1970's, on the north side of Seven Lakes Drive. Sticking with their vision, 7 Lakes North has 60 plus acres dedicated to recreation, along with Lake Sequoia (175 acres) and 135 acres of other lakes, like Big Juniper and Little Juniper Lake. Even though there are lots of gorgeous homes in 7 Lakes North, there is still over 30% of the acreage that is considered open space. And it never feels cramped. Most all of the lots are around 1/2 an acre. Homes range typically in the $175K - $300K range, with the waterfront properties being the most expensive.

Seven Lakes South is probably the quietest section of the 3 gated 7 Lakes Country Clubcommunities. Here the 7 Lakes country club course and clubhouse, provides some of the best golf in the Sandhills from their Peter Tufts III designed, 4 star rated, course. It is truly one of the best rolling terrain courses with great hazards, to challenge everyone. There are more pines and densely covered acreage here, than in any of the other 2 communities. Homes here typically run in the $200K - $300K range, with homes on the golf course typically being the most expensive and more new construction homes here, than on the North side.

Seven Lakes West was the last section developed by Longleaf, Inc., andMarina inside 7 Lakes West on Lake Auman. still has a number of undeveloped lots. The original plans called for 1800 plotted lots, with a few more sections being developed since then. Keep in mind that nowhere near all of these lots have been developed yet. Seven Lakes West is definitely a favorite of many, of the 7 Lakes communities, just because of the beautiful Lake Auman and it's amenities around the lake. Property values here have been historically higher as well.

Lake Auman at 7 Lakes WestLake Auman is an over 800 acre, man made lake that was created by building one of the largest earthen dams east of the Mississippi River. Lake Auman is the only lake in the Seven Lakes area that you can ski and wake board on. TheBeacon Ridge CC

West side has a marina, beach area, recreation area and it's own club in Beacon Ridge. Beacon Ridge also has it's own Gene Hamm designed 18 hole course, with golf front properties surrounding the course.

Homes on the West side are the cream of the crop in Lake Community and Waterfront Home in 7 Lakes WestCountry Club living. Many of the interior homes have been built within the last 4 or 5 years, with a lot of new construction, and are priced in the $300K-$450K range. Homes on the water usually start in the $550K - $600K range and run upwards of $1.75M. There's nothing like being at 7 Lakes West. If you're into water sports and close knit communities, it really doesn't get much better than this.

The amenities that you get for the small $900 / year association dues are incredible and unmatched, anywhere in the Sandhills. The Seven Lakes Landowners govern the North and the South side, while The Seven Lakes West Landowners Association govern the west side. The Seven Lakes area continues to grow with approximately 4400 residents to date and an expectation of hitting 6K-7K over the coming years.
