Called by many "The Home of American Golf", Pinehurst's roots are anchored in golf. These courses have been thrilling the best golfers in the world for over a century. This is one Sandhills entertainment option that never goes out of style. At least not in The Home Of Golf!

From bacon and eggs at one of our breakfast spots to a burger for lunch on the go or a sit down candlelit dinner for two, we've got it all. These spots will offer you the best in dining and atmosphere in Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen, and all of the Sandhills NC area. Sandhills Parks The Parks and open areas in the Sandhills of NC offer areas to run, jog, bike or just hang out with your pets and family. With as many lakes, parks, golf courses and outdoor areas as we have in the Sandhills and the mild climate to enjoy it year round, if you're a nature lover, you'll never want to leave. With many lakes and ponds, beautiful longleaf pines and rolling hills, it's easy to see why Pinehurst and Southern Pines was originally started as a health resort years ago. The residents of the area have been great stewards for our parks and outdoor spaces. Spending some time here can often do more for you than any therapy you could possibly find elsewhere.

Pottery And Antiques Seagrove is the pottery capital of the Sandhills and some of the pieces here are sought after by collectors and dealers from around the world. Some of the pottery families here go back 6 or 7 generations, with techniques and firing methods being taught and handed down from father to son. You can spend days here checking out the shops and learning how each piece is made. As each generation begins a new era, the glazes, colors and designs continue to amaze us with their imagination and creativity. Cameron NC is the antiques capital of the Sandhills and shops there have been collecting and showcasing treasured pieces for ages. For many years before the time of Southern Pines and Pinehurst, the train dead ended in Cameron and brought with it travelers from all over the east coast. Many pieces that you'll find in these shops today have been around since then. For art lovers, pottery fanatics and antique hunters this is all the sandhills entertainment that they'll ever need.

Horse Country and Equestrian Events For an equestrian enthusiast, it doesn't get any better than horse country in Southern Pines NC. The sandy soil here and mild climate have drawn world class horses for many years for boarding, training, breeding and showing. The horse farms here have been around for many years and are some of the most impressive facilites that you'll find with this incredible landscape as their back yard. The Walthour Moss foundation occupies some 4000 acres in horse country and has grown over the years, thanks to the stewards and horse lovers from the area. Moore County hounds was founded in the early days and has been continued to this day, preserving the tradition of the hunt. Stoneybrook events, training and riding will always provide the equestrian enthusiast plenty of entertainment in the Sandhills of NC.
