Lord, where do we start. Yes the weather is great. Mild climate pretty much all year throughout Pinehurst, Southern Pines and all of the Sandhills area. Not much snow, ice or winter weather to speak of.

The communities here are fantastic. Small, quiet, unassuming communities that allow you to live your life and not get caught up in worry about crime or neighborhood issues. That's an incredible benefit.

40 Championship golf courses within 15 minutes fo each other is definitely a benefit. The amount of quality play and incredible designs here are phenomenal.

The history and heritage here are deep rooted and create a proud feeling of belonging and character.

All of this is incredible, but what really makes Sandhills NC living incredible. It's the people. Because of the heritage and beauty of the area, we have everyone from prominent government figures, PGA professionals, and owners or heads of Fortune 500 companies to many many long time multi generational families that have continued to preserve our area for years and new residents that understand and support the vision for the Sandhills area.

It's a great place for the "average joe" to put down roots and become part of an incredible community. Great schools and activities for kids. Great Sports programs and Parks and Recreation activities. Caring teachers and community supporters. And many local businesses that are constantly supported by their neighbors, business partners and friends. That's what makes a community great.

Looking past petty bull**** and coming together as a community. It's a lot easier to do that when you care about the people that you share that community with. And although there have been different views on long range planning, growth, local government and development for sure, we're all still focused on preserving and bettering this community where we live, prosper and raise our kids. Prosperity, growth and happiness. All brought about by the people that care about the future of the Sandhills of NC. That's what makes the Sandhills area great.
