The course rating is 32.6 and it has a slope rating of 110. Designed by C.A. Pitts, the Knollwood golf course opened in 1960. Knollwood Fairways has 3 sets of tee boxes for a fun, but challenging golfing experience. This short and primarily flat course is easy to walk. There are tall pine trees lining the fairways, and water hazards come into play on some holes. The art of shot making at Knollwood Fairways takes precedence over power, and although it’s a great walking facility, carts are available. Seniors, ladies and juniors find Knollwood very attractive and not intimidating. The 9-hole "Midland" course at the Midland Country Club in Pinehurst, North Carolina features 3,093 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 35 . The course rating is 33.6 and it has a slope rating of 110.
