Featured Locals Nightlife - Broad Street Bar and Grill
Featured locals nightlife Broad Street Bar and Grill in
downtown Southern Pines has long been a great place to hang out with friends or
grab a beer after work. On the week end it gets packed quickly, and many locals
who start out at other night spots will migrate to Broad Street as the night
progresses. It’s the kind of place where you go to catch up with friends that
you haven’t seen in awhile and meet new ones. The word has also started to get
out to many golfers and visitors that come in for the week end that Broad Street
is the “local bar” where everyone gets together. At the intersection of
Morganton Road and Broad Street, it’s easy to find
and easy to find your way home from. And if you need a ride home Phil and the guys at Broad Street will be happy to
call you a cab.
You ever had that local hotspot that
always makes you feel at home? Small cozy and comfortable, with killer drink
specials and an outside patio and deck out back, it’s the kind of place where
you can bring your crew and forget about the week’s worries. They keep the music
bumpin on the week end, and the dance floor packs out quickly after 10pm or so.
It really is the only place in town to go to dance and let your hair down. They
feature some killer local bands from time to time, and the small cover at the
door is always reasonable. They have a DJ that spins the tunes on the week ends
and the nights that they don't have a band lined up.
Most don’t even realize yet that
Broad Street Bar and Grill has some great food. Pops cooks a mean
burger that will extinguish the strongest hunger and the reuben is off the
chain. Try the wings with a cold beer while you’re watching the game or waiting
for the rest of your group to get there. They are open for lunch throughout the
week, so if you need to stop in, grab some lunch and get back to work you can,
even though you may not want to go back.
I stopped in for lunch one day right
after the Tarheels won the National Championship. My plan was to grab a quick
burger and get back to work. But as I was eating and catching up, the local
coverage of the Tarheels arriving at the airport
and the bus ride into the Dean Dome came on, so I decided to hang out for a
little while. Between watching the awesome coverage of Coach Roy and the team
coming home, a great burger and talking with Pops, I think I left 2 hours later.
Unassuming and down to earth, Broad Street Bar and Grill treats you like
family. Once you’ve been to Broad Street once you’ll understand why it’s so
easy to call
home, when you go out. It gives you that no frills, keepin it real
atmosphere that’s so easy to enjoy. Laid back with great food, cold drinks,
great bartenders, good music, and a flexible atmosphere that’s great for
anytime.
There's just no better place to go hang out and cut up. Jersey,
Evan, and all the guys behind the bar are always ready to serve up your
favorite drink. There's a pool table in the corner if you feel like running
a rack or two, and plenty of seating if you just wanna watch. Memories are
made here every week. If you don't believe us, check out the wall of pix on
the left when you go in. Hang out for awhile with us and you just might wind
up with a few memories of your own up there. Holla at us. You know where we
be. Broad Street Bar and Grill, our featured
