Blue Moon Gallery

Blue Moon Gallery in Seagrove, NC has a beautiful showroom featuring a wideBlue Moon Gallery Showroom variety of contemporary and traditional pottery from several well known North Carolina potters and nationally acclaimed artists. In addition to pottery, they also feature jewelry, hand blown and stained glass, candles and one of a kind artwork that you won’t see anywhere else.

“We not only bring well-known artists such as Hank Goodman, Loren Lukens, Bill Campbell, Charles and Linda Riggs, Linda Dalton, and Tom and Nancy Guisti, into the gallery, but talented, rising artists as well.”

Over 90 artists from all over North Carolina and around the country are displayed in this 1900 square foot showroom. This wide selection is what brings local collectors as well as travelers from around the globe back time and time again to Blue Moon Gallery.

Owners Byron and Georgia Knight take great pride in selecting all of the pieces for their gallery and representing only the finest of artists. Byron and Georgia are also full time potters themselves, and their studio, Ole Fish House Pottery, is in the rear of the Blue Moon Gallery. You can get a tour of their studio while you’re at the gallery.

This embracing of diverse styles among pottery and art, intertwined withGeorgia and Byron Knight of Blue Moon Gallery traditional pieces is one of the things that has made Seagrove grow over the years, and Blue Moon Gallery has played a key part in that growth. With so much diversity and so many artists’ works on display, you can spend hours wandering through the gallery and comparing pieces.

It really gives you a “big picture” peek of the culture and range of so many artists in one place. For those visitors that haven’t really “found” Seagrove Pottery yet, it can open up a whole new chapter and aspect of their life.

Byron and Georgia stay on the go, taking part in many festivals and shows around the country, but the Blue Moon Gallery is always open during business hours, even if they’re not in town at the studio. There are several new events in planning right now at the Ole Fish House studio and the Blue Moon Gallery as well, so we’ll just have to see wait and see what they have in store for us.
